Now you all know that I really do try to be fair about movies. I give credit to those who do a better job than I anticipated and I am honest about not-so-good performances and movies, even if the actors are some of my favorites. Right? You trust me, don't you? I hope so, because you must believe this.
Catwoman is one of the worst movies that I have ever seen in my entire movie-watching life! Horrible! Abysmal! Laughable! Painful! Just plain rotten, like a potato left in the bottom of a kitchen drawer for months on end! Patience is Halle's character's name, and that is what was required to endure 97 minutes of this bilious mess. Within the first 10 minutes there is an editing error that leads me to believe that Halle must have asked her daughter and grade-school pals to be in charge of the final cut. I am serious!!! Soooooooo wrong and sloppy.
Patience (Halle) works as a graphic artist for Hedare. She accidentally uncovers proof that the latest beauty product set for release, Beau-Line, causes deadly long-term effects and as a result, she ends up dead. Laurel and George Hedare (Sharon and Lambert) are determined to get the product on the market and one of them will stop at nothing to make sure it happens. Meanwhile, Patience comes back as feisty Patience/Catwoman, pursues the bad guys, and sort of dates Police Officer Tom Lone (Benjamin). Ugh. The story was ridiculous with holes big enough to swallow up Lake Michigan. The acting was sub-par (you can only do so much with a stupid script). There was no chemistry between Halle and Benjamin (but, they both sure are pretty!). The villains were about as intimidating as the Cookie Monster. Everything was just bad, bad, bad. And they actually had the audacity to set it up for a sequel. That simply cannot happen. There mustn't be a Part II to such an embarrassing use of the moviegoers' time and money. Shame on you!!!!
