Man who has been raised as an animal finds hope through a blind piano tuner and his stepdaughter.

Dumb storyline. Ridiculous dialogue. Bad acting. Awesome fights!

Danny (Jet) has been raised as an attack dog to enforce his owner’s loan shark collections. If someone doesn’t pay, Danny’s collar is removed and he is given instructions to destroy property, beat the heck out of folks and sometimes kill. Then, he is taken back to his home - - a hole under Bart’s (Bob) office - - and given a can of food for sustenance and an alphabet book for entertainment.

When Danny believes that Bart is dead, he runs away and starts a new life with Sam (Morgan), the blind piano tuner and his stepdaughter Victoria (Kerry) who is a music student. And guess what? Danny’s only memories of his dead mother are of her playing the piano. What are the odds? Though Sam and Victoria find it little strange that Danny doesn’t know how to use a spoon, finds comfort in sleeping on the floor and has never had ice cream, they happily welcome him into their home.

The story really is as silly as it sounds, but as usual Jet Li’s performance as the quiet, reluctant fighter makes up for everything else that might be lacking. And there was a lot lacking in this grimy movie. With that said, if you like martial arts, sans the wires, Unleashed provides some great material.
